"Going Full Throttle and Letting off Steam"
Working Rhythms and Leisure Time in Modern Nuremberg

Regular guided tour of the permanent exhibition for families (in German) on Sundays (for exceptions see "Dates").

In the 19th century, Nuremberg became "Bavaria's industrial heart". Everyday life was dominated by relentless time clocks, noisy engines and huge factories. After work, sports played an important role. Soon, Nuremberg held an outstanding position in football, in gymnastics competitions and bicycle racing.

During the new guided tour for families, many of the objects in the Museum for Industrial Culture start moving about, even talking, showing in many ways what has made us break out in sweat or have fun for the past 100 years. Any Sunday trip to the Museum for Industrial Culture will be enhanced by this further attraction of the new interactive guided tour.

The guided tours are held by members of staff of the Centre for Art and Cultural Education of the museums in Nuremberg (KPZ).
