Museum Theatre and Costumed Guided Tours

"Katharina Tucher" in the Museum Tucher Mansion.

The basic principle of the "museum as historical theatre" is the thread running through many of the museums associated in nuremberg municipal museums, and it is always good for a surprise!

Costumed guided tours will not only provide you with a lot of interesting facts about Nuremberg's history, its historical buildings and personalities, but they are also great fun! Entertainment in the best possible sense.

In Albrecht Dürer's House, an actress will take on the role of Albrecht Dürer's wife, "Agnes", and will guide you through her house, filling you in on her life with the famous artist.

In the Museum Tucher Mansion, the historical mistress of the house, "Katharina Tucher", tells you about the life of the Nuremberg Particians and proudly presents her mansion with the beautiful Renaissance garden and the important Hirsvogel Hall.

Since summer 2003, specially written and lovingly produced plays have been giving visitors an exciting introduction to Nuremberg's history.

In the winter months, you are invited to the theatre in the mansion presenting the play "Fine Company" both in the Tucher Mansion and the Hirsvogel Hall.
