The short walking tour of the Nazi Party Rally Grounds will be made before an independent visit to the permanent exhibition (recommended duration of visit about 2 hours). Meeting point at the Documentation Centre. Weatherproof clothing is recommended.

The short tour may be held in English, Polish, Russian and French.

During this site visit of the authentic locations, the Congress Hall, the Great Road, and the Zeppelin Field, the functions and intended effect of National Socialist architecture, the stage-management of the Party Rally events and the foundations of the National Socialist idea of history will be experienced at first hand and made clear.

A Glimpse Behind the Scene - Guided Tour of the Documentation Centre and to the Roof of the Congress Hall

40 EUR in foreign language, plus admission fee for exhibition

The guided tour may be booked to be held before or after an independent visit to the exhibition (recommended duration of visit about 2 hours). The meeting point is in the foyer of the Documentation Centre. The short tour may also be held in English and French.

The tour gives some background information on the plans for building and using the Congress Hall which, as the historic site housing the Documentation Centre, is the main focus of the tour. It affords glimpses of building sections which are not open to the public, gives background information on the concept for the exhibition and the museum, as well as pointing out and explaining the modern architectural language of the Centre's architect, Günther Domenig. In addition, an excursion to the roof of the Congress Hall provides unusual panoramic views of Nuremberg.
